It’s my first day working in the Sydney office of Marketing Eye and I’m feeling a mixture of emotions; nervous, anxious, overwhelmed but most of all excited. It's a darn shame that women spend so much time bitching about men and equal rights when they really don't do anything about it. I am tired of women complaining how unfair the world is. My question to them (if they live in Australia or the US) is whether that really is the case? I suggest that in most situations it is not.

I'm sitting at the airport about to hop on my next plane. I dress the same way every flight for comfort; a Nike pant, Armani knit, Nike shoes and jewellery. I wear a scarf to lift the outfit just in case my luggage goes missing at the other end, and I always pack a pair of heels in my hand luggage. I am ready.

Entrepreneurship can be the toughest gig in the world especially for a woman. Without playing the 'female' card, there are many different issues that women face when making the courageous decision to be an entrepreneur - and most of it is about their mindset.

It's true. I was told by someone who I respect with more than a billion dollars in the bank to forget about developing Robotic Marketer, the world's first robotic and AI based technology that develops marketing strategies in minutes, not months. I thought about it for a nanosecond. I had this moment of being scared and defeated. Then I said to myself "stuff that!". I truly believe that I can do anything I set my mind to - and I'm right.

There are many reasons why people are held back from reaching their full potential. Some are due to circumstances that they feel they cannot get out of. Other reasons may be that they have commitments over their heads. Or perhaps it's them. They dream big, but do nothing about it.

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps the only thing that is holding you back from realising your dreams is your mind? Not your capabilities. Not how much money you have in the bank. Not how you grew up. Not the job you are in.

One of the first things we think we realise about successful entrepreneurs is their toys; the big house, the fast car and their luxurious holidays - that everyone else just dreams about.

But this isn't exactly the case. In fact, the most successful people I know are not in fact flashy or anything alike. They still live in the house they bought when they first started out, don't update their cars yearly, and often have a holiday house or choose experience holidays over the swanky likes of St Barts and St Tropez.
